Guides

Use PinPop’s Exciting profile when you want a route shaped around curves and elevation changes. It avoids motorways and busy roads rather than simply aiming for the fastest connection. The result still depends on the roads available between your waypoints, so preview it before you ride.

How to do it in PinPop

  1. Open a destination and choose Directions, then select Exciting from the available travel profiles. Compare the calculated path, distance and travel time with the alternatives.
  2. To build a reusable ride, open World → + → New Route, add your waypoints and choose Exciting under Route Profile. Adjust applicable road avoids and waypoint order to shape the trip.
  3. Review the calculated route, add a name and useful description, then create it. Open it later through My Routes, share it with friends or start navigation when ready.

What to know before you ride

A traced route keeps its exact path instead of recalculating it, so it does not behave like a route newly calculated with Exciting. PinPop supports offline maps. Download maps for your riding area before you go offline. Curvy does not mean safe at any speed: inspect the road, weather and your group’s experience before setting off.
