A group ride works best when everyone has the same meeting point, route and way to communicate. In PinPop, use an event for the gathering, a saved route for the roads and a conversation for last-minute coordination. Creating a meetup and starting a timed route with friends are different actions.
How to do it in PinPop
- Create or choose a saved route and review its distance and path. Share the route link with the group so riders can inspect the roads and stops before deciding to join.
- Open the meeting place, a map location or the route, then choose Create Event. Add a clear title, description, photos and schedule. Explain exactly where to meet and when you intend to depart.
- Share the event link. Riders can open the event and use Join Chat to coordinate. Use directions to reach the meeting point, then open the agreed route when the group is ready.
What to know before you ride
Use the description to agree on pace, fuel stops and what to do if riders separate. Event participation does not automatically create friendships or enable friend location sharing. Add friends separately if you want to see their shared positions. You can find created and joined events through the people button under My Events.
For RSVP events, use Request Access, send your request and wait for the organiser to approve it before joining the event chat.
